Monochrome Madness – Lone Tree on the Quantocks

Lone narley tree on the quantock hills on a moody winters day

A solitary, narley hawthorn tree standing tall atop the Quantock Hills on a brooding winter’s day last year. As I captured the image, I already envisioned it in monochrome, knowing the stark subject and dramatic skies perfectly suited the edit I had in mine.

It’s a free week, meaning no set theme! If you’ve got some monochrome photos to share, just drop a link to Leanne’s blog right here: Monochrome Madness

That is a great looking tree, the setting also looks amazing.

Thank you Leanne. Lucky to live so close to the Quantock Hills which are beautiful and untouched by tourism compared to Exmoor and Dartmoor (both close by too).
